BluRay and DVD may both support video, however there are many differences between the media, including storage capacity, laser technology, image resolution and most important, player compatibility. Dual Layer Blu-ray which supports 50GB, (BDR-50GB) is also available.

CD-Recordable disc - Custom printed CD-R is used for archive data of medical records & medical imaging, financial & tax related records, legal records including law enforcement & security. 700MB and recording speed is 52X. Pack out is 100/spindle but other packaging options are available. Other media are CD-R Inkjet CD-R, DVD-R and DVD-DL.

High definition (MPEG4) sent will need to be converted to standard definition DVD video in order to play in common DVD players. DVD Authoring is extra studio time. Options for packaging are paper window envelopes, C-shells, slim or standard DVD cases, 2 panel sleeve, 4 panel wallet, and digipaks to name a few. Multiple disc set and packaging also available.

DVD+R DL holds 8.5GB (8500 MB) and is used to archive large files of data & video for medical imaging, law enforcement, security, and other applications which require more space than the standard DVD. Standard recording speed is 8X. It is important to point out that even though DVD+R DL can be read in most DVD devices, it can only be "recorded" using a DVD-Dual Layer recorder. Other DVD-DL discs would be the Inkjet and the white thermal.
